Welcome to an open lecture on feminism in relation to current events in Ukraine, but also Sweden’s move to join NATO, with Professor Cynthia Enloe from Clark University.
Cynthia Enloe is an internationally recognized scholar known for her work on gender and militarism, issues that she has explored in over 14 books. She and other feminists have long argued that militarization is a “many-layered step-by-surprising-step process that works differently in women's and men's lives.”
In this open lecture, Enloe will delve deeper into how a feminist analysis can and should fuel our curiosity and increase our knowledge about war, peace and security.
